The contractor awarded the project will undertake the demolition of the existing Antonio Lorenzo Cuevas stadium and will construct a new facility in its location. In exchange for these services, the Marbella town hall will be compensated with an annual payment of 221,510 euros.
In the justification report for the project, the economic section outlines an anticipated revenue of 9.8 million euros in the first year, increasing to 17.3 million euros starting in the fifth year. The town hall projects the creation of between 1,600 and 2,300 new jobs, comprising 800 direct jobs, 700 indirect jobs, and 400 additional positions. The projected impact on GDP is estimated to range from 36 to 50 million euros, representing 0.2 percent of the total GDP for the province of Malaga.

Consequently, the revised vision of the initiative has broadened the scope of potential uses, leading to an increase in the estimated investment from the original 15 to 18 million euros to an additional 100 million euros. In addition to aiming to serve as a sub-host for the 2030 World Cup in collaboration with FIFA, it will feature a 90-room hotel catering to elite athletes and promoting sports tourism. The facility will include event spaces accommodating up to 140 guests, an exclusive penthouse restaurant, and a lobby bar.
Furthermore, the complex will offer a parking area with 1,000 spaces, a retail section, and a 1,500-square-metre performance centre that will cater not only to athletes but also to other visitors and sports tourists. This centre will be equipped with specialized amenities for high-performance sports, including dedicated massage rooms and similar services. Additionally, the stadium is planned to host concerts and significant events.
